About the RPAC Royal Cotillion
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Royal Cotillion season. This signature event celebrates outstanding high school junior and senior young ladies, ages 16–19, through activities that enhance their academic, social, cultural, and civic development. Designed as a meaningful rite of passage, the program culminates in the Royal Cotillion Gala, where these exceptional young women are formally presented to society. We look forward to creating a truly memorable experience for each debutante and everyone involved.
DEBUTANTE CRITERIA
Debutante – A young woman who is making her formal entrance into society. She is a female who is a high school junior or senior whose age is within the range of sixteen (16) to nineteen (19) years old by Dec. 31st of the year that she is presented. A debutante is also:

A female who has not been emancipated;

A female who has never been married, divorced, or had marriage annulled;

A female who is not pregnant, or has given birth;
-
A person identifying as female, who is a gender change male that has fully transitioned.
APPLICATION WINDOW & FEE
Applications will be accepted electronically from October 1–31, 2025. A non-refundable application fee of $100 is due at the time of submission. All fees must be paid by money order or cashier’s check and mailed to the address below. To be considered, your payment envelope must be postmarked no later than October 31, 2025.

COMMITMENT EXPECTATION
Debutante activities will begin in January 2026 and continue through early May 2026. Exact dates will be provided at a later time. Debutantes are not required to live or attend school in the River Parishes to participate. However, most program events and activities will take place in the River Parishes. Each debutante is expected to fully participate in all scheduled events to ensure the best possible experience.
Debutantes may choose her father, adult father-figure, or a male peer to serve as her escort. When selecting an escort, it is strongly encouraged that the young man chosen be responsible, reliable, and fully aware of the importance of his role. Any absences for either the debutante or escort must receive prior approval.
